Mandarin

This week in Mandarin we learnt the Chinese zodiac. The Chinese zodiac is 12 animals that have a whole year named after them. What year your bore in determined the animal you are. The animal you are tells you your lucky numbers and other things like unlucky numbers. here is the zodiac 
the Rat came first and the Pig came last.

Yoga

Yesterday we did yoga it was really fun. The instructor lead us on a yoga adventure we got to do lots of yoga poses while having fun. Here are some of the things we did.

Today we made rocky road. we used chocolate, butter, maple syrup, marshmallow, biscuit and cranberries. here is the finished product.

quick write

Graffiti everywhere. different colors all over the walls. trash cans and wheelie bins covered in different colored words. Vents and air condensing scribbled over by illegal gangsters. I look down this deserted ally, and the colors all come to me at once. Scroll and vandalism, ugly yet beautiful. Graffiti is bad but also good.

recount

We had to write a recount about something that happened to us and this is mine.

Hot night - Jim Buller

Lying awake, to hot to close my eyes, thinking about sleep. My smooth sheets spread out under me. I close my eyes trying to get to sleep, but no luck.

I look out my window, at the dark night sky full of bright shining stars, all those different planets and solar systems we have yet to discover. I closed the curtains and flopped down on my bed.

I was really dehydrated so I reached up my sweaty arm and grabbed my drink bottle, I took a big long swig from it and poured the rest over me, I felt cooled and refreshed but then it started to warm up and only made me hotter. I lay there wondering whether to get up and fill my drink bottle up, I decided against it. And so this ends just how it started, lying awake, to hot to close my eyes thinking about sleep.

MY TERM 2 GOALS

Last term my goals where to get into a HNI hockey team and to get to the next stage in math. 

So far I have gotten into a HNI hockey team. 

This term my smart goals are to get to the next stage in math and to get better at spelling. 

I am going to achieve these by trying harder in my math and writing and not using spell correct so much. 

My goals for this year

swimming sport moment

The voice of ms hurley made me jump.  As i jumped in i heard the splash of people doing likewise

Quick as lightning everyone was in the pool and was of swimming. I look around at people around me swimming and having fun

The hot sun on me back and the cool water on my front. I turned around and floated on my back looking at the blue sky.

I wondered how long we would get to swim.
